Frank continued to stay busy as a session musician both on recordings and on ‘live’ tours.” I did a lot of different sessions around town at different studios.

Once, I even got to play with Jamerson, but only once. It was on the Pat Lewis record, ’Can’t shake it loose’. They used two bass players on that song.”

He joined the Choker Campbell band and played on many of the Motown reviews, before touring with Stevie Wonder, Junior Walker, Four Tops, Contours and Brenda Holloway.

“Brenda was such an emotional performer. She’d almost have us in tears on stage when she did those real soul searching songs, you dig?

I did most ‘live’ gigs with ‘Daddy’ Junior. I wrote ‘Last call’ with him and they put it on his album.

We toured all over – the States, Canada and we went to Europe. England was fun…we were kickin’ ass and takin’ numbers over there.”
